The Casa de Chá da Boa Nova

Casa de Chá da Boa Nova, located in Leça da Palmeira near Porto, is an architectural gem designed by renowned Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza Vieira between 1958 and 1963. Built on the rocks just two meters from the water, it offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, blending architecture seamlessly with the natural landscape.

In 2014, Chef Rui Paula transformed this iconic building into a fine dining restaurant, preserving its historical and architectural essence. The two-Michelin-starred restaurant offers a unique culinary experience, where Portuguese culinary tradition is reimagined with contemporary techniques.

The restaurant’s menu is inspired by the poetry and songs of Luís de Camões, offering a culinary journey that connects the past with the future. Each dish is a work of art reflecting the richness of Portuguese gastronomic tradition, presented in an innovative and sophisticated way.
