Launching El Camino People – Sharing Pilgrim Stories with the World
El Camino People – The Podcast. We introduce you to the best Camino de Santiago podcast out there. Wanna walk with us this new Camino?
The podcast was born from the same spirit that fuels the Camino: connection. After years of gathering stories on Instagram, José Mari wanted a way to capture the magic of Camino conversations – the ones that happen naturally while walking, resting, or sharing a meal. A podcast, with its intimacy and accessibility, became the perfect medium to bring those stories to the world.
Why a Podcast?
After two years of connecting with pilgrims through Instagram and a growing website, El Camino People has found a new way to tell the stories of the Camino de Santiago: a podcast. Just like the deep conversations that happen while walking side by side or sharing an albergue meal, the podcast brings those moments to life wherever you are.
What to Expect
The show will feature interviews with pilgrims from around the world, exploring why they walk, how the Camino has changed them, and what makes each route unique. Beyond pilgrims, we’ll hear from hospitaleros, local shopkeepers, and city officials, uncovering the many layers of life along the Way. The episodes will alternate between English and Spanish to reach the global Camino community.
An Invitation to the Camino Community
El Camino People isn’t just about listening – it’s about participating. The team invites listeners to share story ideas, suggest guests, and connect through email or social media. Whether you’re planning your first Camino or reminiscing about your last, this is your space to keep the spirit alive until you set foot on the trail again.
Founded by José Mari, El Camino People began as an Instagram community and has grown into a multimedia project dedicated to preserving and sharing the voices of pilgrims.
